This decision marks a significant victory for the rapper, as he seeks to reclaim his rightful share of the proceeds from the Zwangsversteigerung (forced auction) of their shared villas. The case centers around two villas and their respective plots of land on Zehlendorfer Damm in Kleinmachnow, near Berlin. These properties, with a combined area exceeding 16,600 square meters, were auctioned off in 2022 for approximately 7.4 million euros to Ahmed Abou-Chaker, the son of Arafat Abou-Chaker. Bushido's legal action aimed to dissolve the ownership society and reclaim his rightful share of the proceeds.
This is not Bushido's first triumph in the courtroom against his former friend and business partner. Just a few months prior, in January, the Kammergericht Berlin upheld a lower court's decision, ordering Arafat Abou-Chaker to pay Bushido approximately 1.78 million euros in damages. The Berlin District Court initially ruled that their arrangement constituted a sittenwidrig (unlawful) contract under Section 138 of the German Civil Code, rendering it invalid.
