The Google Pixel 11 series has been announced, and it's a mixed bag of upgrades and changes. The new phones are already available for pre-order, and the question on everyone's mind is: which model should you get?
The vanilla Pixel 11 is a solid upgrade, with a new Tensor G6 chipset and a larger sensor for the main camera. However, it misses out on the HiLight RGB LED and has the same battery capacity as the Pixel 10. The 12/256GB model is a great deal, but the disappearance of the cheapest 12/128GB version is a disappointment.
The Pixel 11 Pro is a more significant upgrade, with a larger sensor for the main camera and a better selfie camera. However, the upgrades are less impressive compared to the Pixel 10 Pro. The new chipset and faster charging are welcome, but the telephoto camera upgrade is a bit underwhelming.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is a larger version of the Pro, with a bigger display and battery. However, the battery capacity is actually smaller than on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the wired charging speed is only slightly faster. The new chipset and telephoto camera are welcome upgrades, but it's not a significant leap forward.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a unique offering, with a larger cover display and a new main camera sensor. However, the battery capacity is significantly lower than on the previous model, and the phone is still thicker and heavier than leading 2026 foldables. The upgrades are welcome, but the price is a bit steep.
In my opinion, the Pixel 11 is the best value, especially the 12/256GB model. It's a solid upgrade with a great deal. The Pixel 11 Pro is a step up, but the upgrades are less impressive. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is a bit of a disappointment, with a smaller battery and only slightly faster charging. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a unique offering, but it's not a significant leap forward. Personally, I'd go for the Pixel 11, but it depends on your priorities and budget.
