Mangaluru, Dec 4 – MCC Bank, based in Mangaluru, today inaugurated its newly renovated Kankanady branch, located at the Emporium Commercial Complex on Kankanady Pumpwell Road.

The refreshed facilities were unveiled by Michael D’Souza, a prominent NRI entrepreneur, philanthropist, and founder of Vision Konkani (MDVK). Fr Faustine Lobo, director of Fr Mullers Charitable Institutions in Kankanady, offered a blessing for the premises.

In his remarks, chairman Anil Lobo explained the rationale behind the renovation. He noted that today’s customers expect modernization and fresh ideas. The bank has upgraded all 16 branches with a strong emphasis on digitalization, equipping them with modern facilities. He affirmed that MCC Bank is prepared to meet customer needs and emphasized that the Kankanady branch, now 54 years old, has been refurbished to ensure customers can perform transactions comfortably.

Lobo added that when the current management took charge, the bank operated 16 branches. Over seven years, five new branches were added after a 22-year gap. With RBI approval to expand further, the bank now operates 21 branches and 15 ATMs.

Plans are in place to open four more branches in the upcoming financial year at Deralakatte, Katapadi, Padil, and either Mudipu or Vamanjoor. He requested continued support and blessings from customers to help the bank grow not only across Karnataka but nationwide. He warmly welcomed all dignitaries, customers, and well-wishers present.

Michael D’Souza congratulated the chairman, board of directors, and staff for their achievements. He commended MCC Bank for delivering exemplary customer service and maintaining a warm, service-oriented approach that sets it apart from many other banks. He observed visible growth under Anil Lobo’s leadership, stating, “We grow to serve, serve to grow.”

D’Souza advised that sound lending practices and timely debt recovery depend on the combined efforts of the board, employees, and ongoing customer support. He extended his best wishes for the bank’s continued success and future initiatives.

Fr J B Crasta expressed appreciation for the bank’s outstanding service to customers and the safety of their funds, acknowledging the dedication of branch staff and their commitment to expanding the branch’s business.
